Visa cancellation and final dues organiser
When a job ends, final pay and visa cancellation often happen at the same time and are easy to confuse. Answer four questions and the tool lists what to request and keep, so you can check the final settlement before signing it.

How it works
- It asks how the employment ended, whether the final salary has been paid, where the visa cancellation stands and whether you have an end-of-service calculation.
- If anything is missing, it tells you to request an itemised final salary and leave-balance statement, and the end-of-service calculation, before you sign.
- If you already have them, it tells you to match the payment against the itemised settlement and check the calculation against your basic salary and service dates.
- It reminds you that cancelling a visa does not by itself settle unpaid employment dues.

Related questions
When must my employer pay my gratuity?
End-of-service entitlements are generally payable within 14 days of the end of the contract. If payment does not arrive in that window, the shortfall can form part of a MoHRE complaint alongside any other unpaid dues.
Do I still get gratuity if I resign rather than being terminated?
Yes, provided you have completed at least one year of continuous service. Historic rules reduced the entitlement for resignation under old unlimited contracts; under the current framework the tiered calculation applies to continuous service, so confirm how your specific contract and service period are treated.
What issues does a MoHRE complaint cover besides unpaid wages?
MoHRE complaints cover delayed or unpaid wages, disputed end-of-service dues, unlawful deductions, denied leave, breach of contract terms and dismissal disputes. Matters outside the private-sector labour relationship, such as free-zone-specific regimes, may follow a different route.
